RWANDA TECH GIRLS

Women lack representation in multiple industries, but the gender gap is stark in STEM fields. TechGirls, an initiative of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, has since 2012 trained more than 390 women in STEM-related fields, providing them with access and opportunities to advance their skills and pursue their dreams.

For more, I am joined by Jennifer Batamuliza, CEO and founder of RWA Tech. She led a team of young girls from Rwanda to this year’s skill-development workshops in the United States.
