HONORING VOA VETERAN JOURNALIST DR. SHAKA SSALI

For the past 26 years, the African Studies and Research Forum has been pivotal in promoting academic discourse and research on the African continent. In its latest edition, ASRF was honored to present its prestigious award to Queen Marian Rucker-Shamu and Shaka Ssali, a veteran journalist from Voice of America. Both are prominent figures in African research and journalism. Shaka was honored particularly for his remarkable work on VOA’s Straight Talk Africa.
