Gaza City doctors struggle with scarce medical supplies, conducting surgeries on hospital floors without anesthesia to save victims of a massive blast that killed nearly 500 Palestinians. Both Hamas militants and the Israeli military disputed the facts surrounding the explosion. Protests across the Arab world have broken out as Israel gears up to deploy tens of thousands of troops in Gaza in preparation for a full-scale ground offensive.
