COP28 FUND FOR NATURAL DISASTERS
Delegates at COP28, a UN climate conference in Dubai, have approved a fund to assist developing nations in dealing with the damaging effects of climate change. This fund aims to aid countries, particularly in Africa, disproportionately affected by climate-related disasters such as floods, droughts, and rising sea levels. VOA’s Paul Ndiho spoke to Frank Tumusiime, an Environmental Analyst and founder of Advocates for Natural Resources and Development based in Uganda, who weighs in on Cope28 and discusses the situation in his country, which is at a critical juncture regarding oil exploration.
