US REPUBLICANS TAKE CONTROL OF THE SENATE

Control of the U.S. Congress is still in play; the 435 seats are still
up for grabs but most likely to go to the Republicans. However, perhaps
not surprisingly, overnight, Republicans seized control of the U.S.
Senate. They are securing a conservative majority for the first time in
four years. Democrats did manage to hold on to a few contested seats.
