up for grabs but most likely to go to the Republicans. However, perhaps
not surprisingly, overnight, Republicans seized control of the U.S.
Senate. They are securing a conservative majority for the first time in
four years. Democrats did manage to hold on to a few contested seats.

With the presidential election just days ahead and the race between the candidates being razor-thin, Voters in D.C. are gearing up to decide their choice for president come Election Day on Nov. 5. Early Voting in D.C. ends on Sunday, Nov. 3. Still, several closely watched local issues are on the ballot, including seats on the D.C. Council and initiative 83 that could drastically change the city’s election process. VOA’s Paul Ndiho joins us live from Downtown Washington, DC.
Americans head to the polls on November 5th to elect their next president and legislators at the federal and state levels. According to the University of Florida Election Lab daily tracker, over 55 million people have participated in early voting so far, either in person or by mail. VOA’s Paul Ndiho is in the US State of Maryland, where early voting ends today, October 31st.

Two Sudanese citizens are facing charges for running a guerrilla computer hacking group called Anonymous Sudan. The group aimed to “declare cyberwar on the United States” by targeting the FBI, government agencies in Alabama, Microsoft, and X through a series of attacks, according to the Justice Department. The group carried out more than 35,000 attacks, with 70 of them targeting the Los Angeles metro area.
