USING TECHNOLOGY TO EMPOWER PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

December 3rd is the annual observance of the International Day of Disabled Persons proclaimed in 1992 by UN General Assembly.

Approximately 15 percent of the world’s population live with a disability; 80 percent live in developing countries.

In Nigeria, an Initiative for National Growth Africa is leveraging technology to offer STEM programs, career training for people with disabilities, and advocating for policies that impact people with disabilities.
