INVESTING IN SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES SMEs

In Africa, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) provide an estimated 80 percent of jobs across the continent, representing an essential driver of economic growth. For these businesses to grow and create more jobs, they need capital. But only a small number have access to a bank loan or line of credit.
In Uganda, Hiinga, a Christian Faith Driven Impact Investing Fund, is changing that narrative by investing directly in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
Africa 54’s Technology Correspondent Paul Ndiho spoke to Andy Kristian Agaba, Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Hinga, based in Kampala, Uganda.
