U.S. FORCES EXECUTE SELF-DEFENSE STRIKES IN SOUTHERN IRAN

The U.S. military (CENTCOM) carried out “self-defense” airstrikes in southern Iran targeting active ballistic missile sites and IRGC boats deploying naval mines. This occurred during a shaky, indefinite ceasefire originally brokered by Pakistan in April. CENTCOM claims it is maintaining military restraint while acting strictly to prevent threats to shipping lanes and American troops.
