A newly established 42-bed Ebola Treatment Center (ETC) is now operational in Bunia to address severe disruptions at local hospitals, managed jointly by the DRC Ministry of Health and the WHO. The deployment comes as WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus arrived on the ground to oversee local containment operations, where specialized medical teams from Kinshasa are reinforcing local staff tracking over 1,100 suspected cases.
