ZAMBIA’S PRESIDENT HAKAINDE HICHILEMA WINS SECOND TERM
President Hakainde Hichilema has secured a second five-year term following Zambia’s closely watched presidential election.
The Electoral Commission of Zambia declared Hichilema the winner after he received about 61 percent of the vote. His main challenger, Brian Mundubile, finished second with approximately 38 percent.
